# Should I post on Twitter or LinkedIn for indie SaaS?

**Verdict: Depends** – Depends – Twitter for B2C and dev tools, LinkedIn for B2B mid-market, both for serious founders.

> Twitter (X) for B2C, developer tools, and the indie founder audience itself. LinkedIn for B2B mid-market, ops, HR, sales, and finance tools. The cheapest answer is both: write one essay per week and cross-post to Twitter and LinkedIn with platform-native formatting. The platform that pulls higher engagement after 4 to 6 weeks is the one to lean into.

## Why

- Twitter's algorithm rewards conversation density; LinkedIn rewards saved-and-shared long-form. The same essay needs different framing per platform.
- Both platforms reward founder voice over brand voice. The founder's account compounds faster than the company account in almost all cases.
- Don't optimise the choice before posting 12 to 20 essays. The data after 4 essays is mostly noise.
