What is a downsell in a funnel?

A downsell is a lower-priced offer shown after the buyer declines the main offer (or the OTO). Typically priced at 30% to 60% of the main offer. Take rate runs 5% to 15% of decliners. It recovers revenue from buyers who said no, by offering a smaller commitment that still moves them up the value ladder.
